Philanthropy

In addition to my yoga teaching and healing work, I have spent many years working in charity fundraising. As a result, I have always been eager to incorporate the spirit of giving into my offerings. Over the years, I have supported various causes through sponsored events, free classes, and a retreat day. In 2025, the fundraising total is standing at over £3,000.
I would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all my students who have supported these initiatives. These are the charities we have supported.

Cure Parkinson’s is a UK charity dedicated to slowing, stopping, or even reversing the effects of Parkinson’s disease. This cause is particularly close to my heart, and I have been honoured to contribute to their invaluable work through running a yoga sponsored event and retreat day. www.cureparkinsons.org.uk
Porchlight is a Kent-based charity working to eliminate homelessness in the region. I was introduced to their mission by one of my students and dear friends, and it was a pleasure to raise funds for them from my winter solstice class. www.porchlight.org.uk

Women for Refugee Women is a UK charity campaigning for a fairer asylum system and supporting women refugees in the UK. Their work empowers refugee women through activities such as yoga, helping them build confidence, acquire new skills, and create pathways to rebuild their lives. My monthly full moon women's circle supported this charity https://www.refugeewomen.co.uk

Care International UK is a UK charity who work overseas. When the Ukraine/Russian war started my yoga fundraiser for peace raised money to support the most vulnerable people of Ukraine. https://www.careinternational.org.uk/

In addition to supporting these UK charities, my students have kindly helped my teacher in India (pictured below) with the construction of his mountain ashram. Situated above Rishikesh, this sanctuary will serve as a healing retreat, built on strong yogic principles. The ashram will also feature organic farming and offer support to the local village community.
